Thanksgiving Day Parade

2017 Ameren Thanksgiving Day Parade

Celebrating its 32nd year, the 2017 Ameren Thanksgiving Day Parade will step off at 8:45 a.m. on Thursday, November 23 from 7th Street and Market Street in Downtown St. Louis. The parade will be broadcast live on KMOV-TV Channel 4, awarded an Emmy for their production of the 2015 parade.

We expect over 130 parade units, including musical floats and displays, giant helium balloon figures, animal units, restored antique cars and firetrucks, and marching bands from around the St. Louis region. As always, Santa Claus will be present to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas at the end of the parade.

Judging the marching bands will be band directors from area colleges and universities.

All band members are encouraged to bring a blanket to keep warm while waiting to enter the parade.  As they enter the parade route, the blankets are collected by volunteers and donated to St. Louis Catholic Charities and Pilgrim Congregational Soup Kitchen for distribution to those in need.

Come cheer them on!
